Da Amish

Who knew?

In his book The Faith, Chuck Colson retells the aftermath of the Amish schoolhouse shooting in 2006. The donations to the families of murdered children were not kept, but passed on to the murderer’s widow and three kids. Resentment and even revege would have been socially acceptable; blatant neglect would have been considered charitable. Yet, in that moment, with the world watching, that Amish community communicated a shocking representation of God’s unrelenting grace.

This made me veritably TEAR UP. It’s odd what does it. So random. Didn’t think I was feeling particularly emotional. But DANG. Had to share.
