This is a temporary blog.
A somewhat permanent fixture of the internet, but not of my life. I write when I write.
I’m stepping into an identity of …priest? It’s hard to acknowledge that. I do it with hesitation and qualifiers and a lot of shoulder shrugging because I fear failure and I’m not sure I can do this. But for now, at least, I am walking that path, to see if things fall into place. It may or may not involve ordination. But whatever happens, I know I’m in for the long haul with this “church” thing. I believe in it, love it, and want to encourage, develop and build it.
To be a priest or minister is to be a servant. I believe in the priesthood of all believers. To be a priest is to listen well, keep learning, know what’s important, teach, preach, and re-story, and feed people the bread of life. It also involves a lot of confession, forgiveness, honesty, and grace. For me, it may or may not involve ordination in the Anglican church. We’ll see.
Blessings (the sort where your eyes are open to beauty and wonder all around you and you feel and see and taste and touch the reality that God loves you).
p.s. weeChristine – First, I’m short at 5’2″, and secondly, wee is a throwback to my Irish grandmother who calls little things “wee”. Lastly, Christine is the feminine form of Christian, so yea, that about sums me up.
